Napoleon Bonaparte lived between 1769 and 1821. Napoleon is one of the greatest commanders in history.
He played a great role on the history of Europe. During the French Revolution he was a general , the ruler of France during the French Republic and Emperor of the First French Empire.
During the nineteenth century, he attacked almost every European powerful countries and won victories.
In 1813,he was defeated by the Sixth Coalition at Leipzig when France was invaded, he was exiled to Elba Island.
After about a year, he came back and was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. He spent the last six years of his life on Saint Helena Island and died in 1821.
Italian Campaign:
He defeated Austrian forces at the Battle of Lodi and drove them out of Lombardy.
In 1797, he attacked Austria and after a battle the Treaty of Leoben signed which gave France the control of most of northern Italy and the Low Countries.
