Money:
Euro is the official currency in Italy. Credit cards are accepted by almost all the shops, hotels and restaurants around Milan.
Safety:
Milan is a safe city however just like other big cities around the world after dark it may be dangerous to wonder around the Sempione Park, some rail stations and desolated streets away from the centre.
Electricity:
It is 220 volts and two round pin sockets are used.
Post Office:
Stamps could be obtained from the post offices or tobacconists displaying white T sign on a dark background. Post Boxes are red and marked as Poste or Lettere. The main post office is open between 8am to 7pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays between 8:30am and 12pm. There’s another post office at the Stazione Centrale which is open between 8am to 7pm from Monday to Friday and between 8:30am to 12pm on Saturdays.
Pharmacies:
118 is the phone number for medical emergencies. Pharmacies are indicated by a large green or red cross. 800 801 185 is a 24 hour pharmacy information call centre which give information about the nearest pharmacy of your location.
