It is known for its Grand Prix motor-racing circuit. The town is located 15km to the northeast of Milan. It can breached in 20 minutes by buses from Milan’s Stazione Centrale.
It is located in the south of Milan about 35km away. It used to be the capital of the Lombard Empire until it was eclipsed by Milan in the 11th century. Both Charlemagne and Barbarossa were crowned in Pavia.
It takes about 2 hours from Milan by train. The town is located in the middle of a flat plain surrounded by water where the River Mincio is divided into three lakes Lago Superiore, Lago di Mezzo and Lago Inferiore.
The Italian Lakes region is located about an hour away from Milan. Among these lakes, there are the ones dating back to the Ice Age such as Lake Como, Maggiore and Garda.
