2 Days in Milan

2 days in milan

I have 2 days in Milan:

Day 1:

Start as early as you can. Recommended time is around 8am and start with Pinacoteca di Brera where you will find the best art collections. You may spend at most 2 hours to carry on with Teatro alla Scalla which is a few meters from Pinacoteca di Brera. Have a look inside this opera house for a few minutes and pass through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. You may have a short break at Zucca which is a famous Milan bar in Galleria. After the break, visit the Duomo and if you are not that tired, climb up the 165 steps for the superb view of the city.

For lunch you may either choose one of the restaurants in Piazza Duomo or carry on walking to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II where there are more options.

After lunch carry on to Via Montenapoleone from Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, to north which will take you to the Quadrilatero d’Oro, surrounded by many streets which is known as the Golden Quad, Milan’s shopping area.

If you are into shopping, do not spend hours and hours in the area and remember you have limited time in historic and fashionable Milan and you must not tire out. For the ones who will wait for the shoppers (!) you may rest at one of the Italian cafés for a coffee and a delicious cake!

Day 2:

If you’d like to see da Vinci’s Last Supper then we recommend you to reserve tickets in advance but if you couldn’t then start with Santa Maria delle Grazie in the morning. You may spend about an hour in the area and carry on to north through Corso Magenta to Parco Sempione’s west entrance. Through the park walk along to Palazzo dell’Arte and then take the elevator the top of the Torre Branca.

For lunch you will find many cafés in the park. After lunch walk to the northwest to visit the Acquario and then follow the road to the clock tower in front of Castello Sforzesco and visit the castle and its museums.
